GLD Build Version History

GLD has been in production for over 10 years with multiple versions released for public use.  This table is intended to provide a baseline for comparison of your current version with the latest shipping version.  Some versions are upgradable and some have "upgrade value".  Please contact us if you have questions regarding your current product.

GLD2014 Production Build History

Use builds 8.0.11 or later for use with Windows 10.  All builds of GLD2014 supported on Windows XP, W7, W8.x.

• On highly secure Windows Vista, 7 and 8 machines, it is now easier to gain ownership of files and folders to make design work easier.  Users should open file explorer and navigate to the Gaia Geothermal folder and right-click to select "Take Ownership of files/folders".

• Improved gridbuilder function in metric mode. In some cases, gridfiles can become corrupted and this update checks for and prevents this corruption.

• Installer is now has a digitally signed.  This digital signature eliminates security warnings that were previously displayed when installing with Windows Vista and Windows 7.  GLD now works on Windows 8 Professional and the digital signature was needed to eliminate the latest security warnings, which are even more prevalent on Windows 8.

• Other small updates to user reported items.

• Design warnings suggest redesign if pump temp range is exceeded.  Warnings are for the dominant heating or cooling portion of the calculation.  This is a significant update in how the warning is issued.

• Professional Edition has warnings if user attempts to perform hourly calculations or comparisons.

• Release of new ClimateMaster Edition of GLD2012 with design feature options.

• Update to GSA module involving hybrid geo natural gas calculations.

• TC Module launches as "Thermal Conductivity Edition" for use with third party TC Test units

Note: Product qualifies for upgrade.

User Alert:  There is a potential issue with gridfiles in GLD2010 which could cause errors in custom loopfield layout corruption.  Primarily involves users that switch between metric and english units.  Newer versions do not have this issue.  Please upgrade or exercise care using this feature.
